Installation steps of instrument lathes

instrument lathes have high efficiency, simple use, low cost and wide application range, so they are widely used in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, which has made great contributions to the reduction of manufacturing costs in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. But according to the traditional machining concept, instrument lathes are not elegant, not only not in textbooks

generally speaking, standard accessories include a large carriage connecting rod, a small carriage connecting rod, a clutch handle, and a large and small disc handle. Install the connecting rod and handle before use

(1) check the machine tool

1) check whether the machine tool is complete after unpacking

2) check whether the accessories are complete

3) if the machine tool is a complete machine with electrical appliances, please check the electrical circuits before starting the machine tool to avoid failures and safety accidents

4) if the machine tool is a complete machine with electrical appliances, please check whether the rotation direction of the machine tool spindle is correct

(2) installation of machine tool

first, drill anchor bolt holes on the workbench erected by cement precast slab, and pour a layer of cement slurry. Put on the machine tool with bolts (the bolts need not be tightened), and gently shake the machine tool back and forth to keep it horizontal. After standing for 48 hours, the machine tool will gradually sink due to its own weight and compact the cement at the foot of the bed. After the cement is dry, tighten the bolts. 1. Self locking: (this is a common way)

the machine tool can also be installed on the self-made steel frame workbench. During installation, please pay attention to prevent the deformation of the guide rail and ensure the horizontal combination of the bed foot and the worktable

(3) installation of main motor

the main motor has two installation methods: horizontal pulley in the middle and vertical pulley on the side: horizontal installation motor and machine tool are in the same plane; The vertical motor is installed under the machine tool. The triangle belt connecting the main shaft and the motor must be adjusted to an appropriate degree of tightness. The machine tool leaves the factory without a motor. Users need to select an appropriate power motor (0.5~3kw) according to the machine tool model and cutting amount. Qualified valve springs will undergo fatigue tests before leaving the factory, and the motor shell and bed frame must be grounded. It is recommended to install protective covers on the belt and clutch to ensure safety

(4) adjustment of spindle bearing clearance

adjust the spindle bearing clearance before the new machine tool leaves the factory. After a period of use, the spindle bearing of the machine tool should be properly adjusted to ensure the best clearance of the bearing, so as to ensure the use effect of the machine tool and the stability of the product, and improve the service life of the spindle bearing. Please refer to the following figure for the adjustment method. Adjust the locknut at the rear end of the main axle box to obtain proper clearance for the main shaft bearing. Generally, after adjustment, it is appropriate to rotate the main shaft by hand to rotate it smoothly for 2-3 turns, and then test run

(5) the adjustment of the clamping force of the spring collet

is achieved by adjusting the front and rear positions of the pressing plate

there are two kinds of instrument lathe belt trays, central and external. The external belt pulley only needs to remove the clutch part to replace the belt. The main shaft needs to be removed when replacing the middle belt. "Industry experts said the steps are as follows:

1) remove the pressing plate, and pull out the pull tube and collet forward

2) screw out the clutch lever seat from the main shaft, remove the clutch support, take out the sliding sleeve, loosen and take out the lock nut

3) loosen the screws of the front and rear end covers and remove the front and rear end covers

4) loosen the locknut of the belt pulley

5) press the spindle out of the headstock from back to front. (if the bearing needs to be replaced, it can be removed and replaced at the same time)

6) replace it with a new belt and install all parts in reverse order. (note that the two locking nuts should be tightened in the opposite direction during installation)

7) adjust the clearance of the main shaft bearing
